Majid Al Futtaim is a Dubai company founded in 1992 by Majid Al Futtaim. It is best known for its shopping malls, including Mall of the Emirates and the City Centre malls, and for running Carrefour stores across the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia.
In Dubai it builds homes in its own master-planned communities: Tilal Al Ghaf, laid out around a lagoon off Hessa Street, and Ghaf Woods in Dubailand. It also built Al Zahia in Sharjah with Sharjah Holding. It is a different company from Majid Developments.
Where they build
Most of what they build is in Tilal Al Ghaf: 4 of their 7 projects.
They sell at the top of the market. Half their projects start above AED 6.7M, where the middle project on our site starts at AED 1.3M.
Booking is cheap with them: none of their plans asks for more than 10% up front.
They use much the same plan everywhere: 10 / 50 / 40 in 6 of 6 projects, with 10% to book and 40% on handover.
Their record
Dubai Land Department lists 2 finished projects by Majid Al Futtaim, and 7 under construction.
These counts include the project companies registered behind Majid Al Futtaim, as developers in Dubai often set up one per project.
Prices and payment plans
What they cost
Apartments start from AED 1.2M, villas and townhouses from AED 6.7M.
They tend to price below the resale market: 2 of the 3 projects we checked start below the usual price per square foot of similar homes sold through Dubai Land Department, typically by about 6%.
Their most expensive project, Waterfront Collection, starts from AED 39M, far above the AED 6.7M at which half their projects start.
When they hand over
Next to be finished are Amara and Plagette 32, both due in Dec 2026.
Much of their work finishes at once: 4 of their 7 dated projects are due in 2027.
