About Omniyat
Omniyat is a Dubai developer founded in 2005 by Mahdi Amjad, its executive chairman. It builds a small number of high-end apartment, office and mixed-use buildings, and has worked with the architects Zaha Hadid and Norman Foster.
Its first buildings were in Business Bay. In June 2009 it handed over Bayswater, the first office tower completed in Business Bay. At the time the district was still short of roads and permanent power, and the tower ran on generators. The Opus, designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, opened in Business Bay in 2018 with offices and serviced residences. The ME Dubai hotel inside it was completed in 2020.
It works with the Dorchester Collection hotel group. One at Palm Jumeirah, a building of 94 residences managed by Dorchester Collection, was completed in February 2022. The Lana, Dorchester Collection's first hotel in the Middle East, opened on Marasi Bay in Business Bay in early 2024, with homes in the same project.
It pays for part of its work with sukuk, and raised more than $900 million through two issues in 2025.
