About Select Group
Select Group is a Dubai developer founded in September 2002 by the British entrepreneur Rahail Aslam. He led it as chief executive until 2024, when he became chairman.
Most of its early work is in Dubai Marina. Its first completed building was Yacht Bay in 2007, followed by Royal Oceanic and The Point in 2009, The Torch and Botanica Tower in 2011, Bay Central in 2012 and West Avenue in 2014. Marina Gate, a group of three towers, was handed over between 2018 and 2020. The third tower, Jumeirah Living Marina Gate, is managed by Jumeirah Group.
In Business Bay it built Peninsula, a waterfront community of six towers, and completed 15 Northside in 2023. It also develops and owns property in the UK, including 98 Baker Street in London, completed in 2023, and owns hotels in the UK and Germany. By February 2026 it said it had delivered more than 7,000 homes.
In December 2023 it bought the stalled Pentominium tower in Dubai Marina for $100 million at an auction approved by Dubai Courts. Construction there had stopped in 2008. It relaunched the tower in 2024 as Six Senses Residences Dubai Marina, after its first Six Senses project on Palm Jumeirah.
