About Al Habtoor Group
Al Habtoor Group is a Dubai business group. Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor started it in 1970 as a small engineering firm, Al Habtoor Engineering, after working for a local construction company. It added a car distributor, Al Habtoor Motors, in 1983, and opened the first campus of Emirates International School in 1991. It now works in hotels, cars and car leasing, property, education, insurance and publishing, with hotels and other businesses in the UK, Austria, Hungary, Lebanon and the US as well as the UAE.
Its main property project in Dubai is Al Habtoor City in Business Bay, on the Dubai Water Canal. The project has three hotels and three residential towers, called The Residence Collection. The hotels first opened under Marriott brands as the St. Regis, W and Westin. In 2018 the group moved them to Hilton as Habtoor Palace, V Hotel and Hilton Dubai Al Habtoor City.
The first residents moved into Meera Tower, a 52-storey building, in March 2018. The group offered its apartments for rent. In 2018 it was also selling apartments in Noora Tower, a 73-storey building with 546 homes. Amna Tower is the third tower. Homes in the towers range from one to seven bedrooms.
